Terms & Conditions of Service
These Terms and Conditions apply to all services carried out by Gas Dr Limited (“the Company”) for any client (“the Customer”) and are deemed accepted by the Customer upon acceptance of a quotation, confirmation of a booking, or commencement of works.
1. Scope of Works
• All works will be carried out as detailed in the agreed quotation or scope of works.
• Any variations or additions must be agreed in writing and may incur additional charges.
• The Company will carry out all work in accordance with current regulations and industry best practices.
2. Rates & Charges
• The Company operates an initial one-hour call-out charge, which includes travel and the first hour on site.
• Thereafter, time is charged in 30-minute increments.
• A fixed-price quotation may be offered for specific works following a site inspection or written job brief.
• Rates quoted do not include the cost of materials unless otherwise specified.
• Travel time to collect or source materials that are not stocked on our engineers vehicles will be chargeable as part of the overall labour time (according to ‘Our Rates’.
• Our rates are subject to change without prior notice due to fluctuations in market conditions, supplier pricing, or other external factors beyond the Company control. Where possible, we will provide advance notice of any rate changes.
3. Payment Terms
• A 50% deposit is required in advance to secure any scheduled works or installation bookings. This deposit confirms the booking and allows materials to be ordered where necessary.
• Payment is due in full upon completion of the agreed works, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Payments can be made via bank transfer, card, or cash. Bank details will be provided on the invoice.
• Late payment may incur interest charges at 8% above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
• Invoices not paid within 7 days may result in further action or suspension of future services.
4. Warranty
• Boilers installed by the Company are covered by manufacturer warranties subject to annual servicing by a qualified engineer.
• The Company guarantees its workmanship and all materials supplied for 12 months from the date of completion.
• The warranty does not cover:
• Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or tampering
• Third-party repairs or modifications
• System issues arising from pre-existing faults unless specifically repaired during our works
5. Access & Responsibility
• The Customer is responsible for providing clear access to the work area and ensuring that all obstructions are removed prior to the engineer’s arrival.
• The Company shall not be held responsible for delays due to lack of access, hidden complications, or unforeseen issues such as asbestos or unsafe installations.
6. Cancellations & Delays
• Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a call-out fee or loss of deposits paid in advance.
• If the Customer cancels after materials have been ordered, deposits are non-refundable.
• If the Customer is not present at the agreed time or access is not possible, the initial call-out fee will still apply.
7. Liability
• While all due care will be taken, the Company will not be liable for:
• Incidental damage to decorations or finishes necessary to access pipework or appliances
• Any losses due to delays caused by part availability or external suppliers
• Any consequential losses or damages
8. Ownership of Materials
• All materials remain the property of the Company until payment is received in full.
• The Company reserves the right to remove any unpaid-for materials if payment is not made within the agreed terms.
9. Complaints
• Any concerns or complaints should be reported in writing within 7 days of completion.
• We are committed to resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
10. Governing Law
• These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
